Crashworthiness of Carbon Fiber Composites
Materials
The crash test database contains progressive crush tests of for carbon fiber composite materials of various compositions. The menu on the left links to reports for each of the test sets. The crush tests were conducted on the Test Machine for Automotive Crashworthiness (TMAC) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory .
The reports contain details of composite constituents, layup configurations, manufacturing processes and mechanical properties for the materials used in the crash tests that are stored in the database.
