Spotweld Models for Advanced High Strength Steels
Materials
Advanced High Strength Steels (AHSS) derive their advanced mechanical and material properties from carefully tailored microstructures and chemistry. They usually have multiphase microstructure that contains various strengthening mechanisms that results in improved ductility and strength. More information on AHSS can be found at American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI).
